Summary: A renewable $5,000 scholarship, up to $20,000 total, from Microsoft and DisAbility Employee Resource Group (ERG) targeted to high school seniors with visual, hearing, mobility, cognitive, or speech disabilities who plan to attend a two to four year university or college program in the United States with a major in: engineering, computer science, computer information systems, paralegal, pre-law, finance, business administration or marketing. Summary: Up to three awards of up to $5,000 each may be awarded each year to full-time graduate students with moderately – severe to profound hearing loss, who use listening and spoken language as their primary method of communication, and who are attending full-time an accredited law school or graduate school working towards a masters or doctoral degree in public policy or public administration.

Previous recipients may re-apply, provided that they are still in school and a minimum of nine credit hours was completed in the previous year of study.

Summary: Available to those currently completing their final year of high school, to mature aged students who have been accepted into a university, and to current undergraduate and graduate university students. Scholarship value is $2,000 per year for up to four years assuming scholarship recipient maintains a 3.0 GPA or better.

Scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement and a demonstrated commitment to the Cochlear ideals of leadership and humanity. Award value is $2000 per year for up to 4 years. The final scholarship recipients are selected by a Scholarship Selection Committee of hearing healthcare professionals.

Eligibility:

– Scholarship applicants must have a Baha or Nucleus Cochlear Implant.

– Available to graduating high school seniors.

– Undergraduate or graduate students that have applied or will be enrolled at an accredited college, university or technical school.

– Scholarship applicants must earn a 3.0 GPA or better to enroll and keep a 3.0 GPA to maintain the scholarship.

Summary: The goal of the Hamilton Relay Scholarship is to support individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing or speech-disabled in their post-secondary education. The $500 Hamilton Relay Scholarship is extended to a qualifying student living within a state where Hamilton Relay is the contracted telecommunications relay service provider.

Summary: A $1,000 scholarship to cover tuition, books and supplies. Recipient may use the funds for any semester, including summer, during the awarded academic school year.

– have a 40dB or more hearing loss in both ears
– be a US citizen,
– be pursuing a bachelor’s degree on a full-time basis at a college or university in the United States–graduate degrees, associates degrees, community colleges, and vocational programs do not qualify.

Summary: The Keith Sargent Scholarship is open to any student with a mobility, visual or hearing disability who has completed 24 transfer credits or one academic year at Iowa State University and who has a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.75 on a 4.0 scale.

The scholarship amount varies and may be renewed for an additional two years as long as a GPA of 2.75 or above is maintained. The award is administered through the Student Disability Resources Office.
