Scholarships for Students with Disabilities beyond High School

This scholarship is for students with spinal cord injuries, spina bifida, transverse myelitis, neurogenic bladder, or an ostomy. It gives $1,000 to students with these conditions. Awards are given competitively to students attending a two-year, four-year, or graduate school program full-time. Applicants must be under a doctor's care for spinal cord injury and be legal residents of the United States (US).

These scholarships are for students who have been diagnosed with or have an immediate family member diagnosed with mucopolysaccharide disease and are continuing their education after high school. It gives full-time students with family members who have mucopolysaccharide disease $1,000 and part-time students $500. It also gives $5,000 to students that have been diagnosed with mucopolysaccharide disease.

This scholarship is for college students with a mobility, visual, or hearing disability who are working toward a degree at Iowa State University. The amount of money given can be different for each student, based on need and school goals. Students must have finished 24 transfer credits or one year at Iowa State University and kept a 2.75 grade point average (GPA).

This scholarship is for immediate family members of Paralyzed Veterans of America and are working toward a certificate or degree. It gives $2,500 to full-time students and $1,000 to part-time students enrolled at a college, trade school, university, or vocational school.

This scholarship is for students with a long-term physical or mental health condition who have been accepted into an undergraduate college program. It provides a $1,000 award to high school students who plan to attend an accredited college or university. The money can only be used to pay tuition. Recipients are selected based on their academic achievements and evidence of the health challenges they have faced.

This scholarship is for students who have had a Brachial Plexus injury and are working toward a degree at a college, trade school, or university. They give $250-$500 and can be reapplied for annually and can be used for books, career retraining, or tuition.
