Summary: Awarded annually to a deserving student with a disability who is pursuing undergraduate or graduate health and disability studies in an accredited university. The student must be at least a sophomore in college.

Health and disability studies include, but are not limited to: public health, health promotion, disability studies, disability research, rehabilitation engineering, audiology, disability policy, special education and majors that will impact quality of life of persons with disabilities.

Important: applicants who have not yet graduated from high school will not be considered. High school students entering college in the fall are not eligible to apply.

Summary: One $1,000 cash scholarship to a winning undergraduate or graduate essayist from an accredited American college, university, or trade school who has a documented disability. The scholarship will be awarded to the best original 500-1,000 word essay on a given topic, namely, “What I learned from writing a business plan.” The Business Plan Scholarship is awarded twice annually: once in spring and once in fall.

Submit your original 500-1,000 word essay by e-mail with the subject line, “Business Plan Scholarship Application”. In the e-mail, also include the name of your school, your anticipated major, expected date of graduation, and the nature of your disability.

The winner will be announced no later than April 30 for the spring semester and November 15 for the fall semester.

Summary: The purpose of the Foundation, a non-profit affiliate of Springboard Consulting, is to provide scholarships to full-time college/university students who have documented disabilities of any type deemed to be protected under the Americans with Disabilities Act and/or the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. The Foundation’s intent in providing these scholarships is to contribute to the increase in employment opportunities for college/university students with disabilities.

Five scholarships of $1500 are awarded.

Eligibility:

– The student must be a full time currently enrolled undergraduate College student in a 4 year accredited university or college.

– The student must be taking 12 hours of undergraduate credit hours next semester.
