Each year, HFA awards scholarships to promising students in the bleeding disorders community, with awards ranging from $2000-$4000.
– Educational Scholarship: Two educational scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $2,000.00 each to students with a bleeding disorder.
– Medical/Healthcare Services Educational Scholarship: One scholarship will be awarded in the amount of $4,000.00 to a student pursuing a degree in the medical/healthcare services field.

Summary:
LDRF assists students with learning disabilities and attention deficit disorder (LD) to enter and succeed in pursuing higher education by providing assistive technology and up-to-date information on the tools and products to assist with reading and writing. LDRFA will award assistive technology, a Chromebook Laptop or Tablet to college-bound students with LD who demonstrate a financial need.

Summary:
One $1,000 cash scholarship to a winning undergraduate or graduate essayist from an accredited American college, university, or trade school who has a documented disability. The scholarship will be awarded to the best original 500-1,000 word essay on a given topic, namely, “What I learned from writing a business plan.” The Business Plan Scholarship is awarded twice annually: once in spring and once in fall.

Submit your original 500-1,000 word essay by e-mail with the subject line, “Business Plan Scholarship Application”. In the e-mail, also include the name of your school, your anticipated major, expected date of graduation, and the nature of your disability.

The winner will be announced no later than April 30 for the spring semester and November 15 for the fall semester.

The purpose of the Foundation, a non-profit affiliate of Springboard Consulting, is to provide scholarships to full-time college/university students who have documented disabilities of any type deemed to be protected under the Americans with Disabilities Act and/or the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. The Foundation’s intent in providing these scholarships is to contribute to the increase in employment opportunities for college/university students with disabilities.

Five scholarships of $1500 are awarded.
