Summary: Awarded annually to a deserving student with a disability who is pursuing undergraduate or graduate health and disability studies in an accredited university. The student must be at least a sophomore in college.

Health and disability studies include, but are not limited to: public health, health promotion, disability studies, disability research, rehabilitation engineering, audiology, disability policy, special education and majors that will impact quality of life of persons with disabilities.

Important: applicants who have not yet graduated from high school will not be considered. High school students entering college in the fall are not eligible to apply.

Summary: A renewable $5,000 scholarship, up to $20,000 total, from Microsoft and DisAbility Employee Resource Group (ERG) targeted to high school seniors with visual, hearing, mobility, cognitive, or speech disabilities who plan to attend a two to four year university or college program in the United States with a major in: engineering, computer science, computer information systems, paralegal, pre-law, finance, business administration or marketing. Applicants must demonstrate a passion for technology as well as leadership in their high school and/or community.

Seven $1,000 scholarships for those with spinal injuries, spina bifida, transverse myelitis, neurogenic bladder or ostomy. Awards will be given on a competitive basis to students attending a two-year, four-year, or graduate school program full time who are under a physician’s care for spinal cord injury and legal residents of the United States.
