Summary:
Varying amount awards are available to full-time Iowa State University undergraduate or graduate students with a disability that might cause difficulty in pursuing academic study. First consideration is given to those having eye health or visual problems and demonstrated financial need.

Students who complete the FAFSA application by December 1st, demonstrate financial need, and complete the FinAidScholar online application will be considered for this award.

Awarded annually to a deserving student with a disability who is pursuing undergraduate or graduate health and disability studies in an accredited university. The student must be at least a sophomore in college.

Health and disability studies include, but are not limited to public health, health promotion, disability studies, disability research, rehabilitation engineering, audiology, disability policy, special education, and majors that will impact the quality of life of persons with disabilities.

Important: applicants who have not yet graduated from high school will not be considered. High school students entering college in the fall are not eligible to apply with the exception of those who have achieved sophomore status via high school AP course credits.

A renewable $5,000 scholarship, up to $20,000 total, from Microsoft and DisAbility Employee Resource Group (ERG) targeted to high school seniors with visual, hearing, mobility, cognitive, or speech disabilities who plan to attend a two to four-year university or college program in the United States with a major in: engineering, computer science, computer information systems, paralegal, pre-law, finance, business administration or marketing. Summary:
Current sophomores at a four-year university in the United States who are continuing as full-time students and who are eligible to work in the United States may apply for the fellowship program. The program begins with expenses paid to their Leadership & Development Symposium in New York City in the summer with a focus on personal and professional development, community, access to their U.S. corporate partners, and potential Summer 2022 internships. Upon completion of the program, Fellows will join the lifelong experience of the broader Lime Connect Fellows community, where they will receive ongoing support and mentoring, continued professional development, community with Fellows from the previous classes, and networking opportunities throughout their careers.
