Summary:
Recognizes exceptional students with Cystic Fibrosis who demonstrate academic excellence, community involvement, creativity, and the ability to serve as a positive role model for the Cystic Fibrosis community. Each year, AbbVie awards 40 scholars with $3,000 each. Two of these students (an undergraduate and a graduate) are then selected to receive a Thriving Student Scholarship, winning an additional $22,000 each.

Summary:
Students with Cystic Fibrosis and enrolled as an undergrad at a college or university in the United States or abroad, or with an accredited in-person or online educational institution or training in a technical school may apply for $500 and $1000 awards to apply towards tuition, fees, books, supplies, or equipment required for coursework. There is no limit on the number of years a person may apply.

Summary:
The Bonnie Strangio Education Scholarship was established in 2005 to honor the memory of Bonnie Strangio. The $500 – $1000 scholarship is awarded to a person living with cystic fibrosis who, like Bonnie, has an upbeat personality and “can-do” attitude, and shows a tremendous passion for life in achieving their goals despite battling CF.
Applicants must be an undergraduate or graduate student who has cystic fibrosis and whose service and commitment to the prevention and cure of CF is exemplary. The scholarship committee will select finalists, who will be interviewed thereafter. The award recipient will be chosen by a majority vote.

Summary:
Four $10,000 scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors and undergraduate students based on demonstrated financial need, academic accomplishment, and athletic ability in the area of running. Awards will go to one male and one female high school student and one male and one female undergraduate student.

Applicants must be a high school senior or undergraduate student who has cystic fibrosis and demonstrates scholastic ability, athletic ability (as evidenced by regular exercise), character, leadership, service to the community, need for financial assistance, and daily compliance to CF therapy. The student-athlete should jog on a regular basis and be training for the 1.5-mile qualifying run. All candidates will be judged based on time.
