Summary
Foundation awards approximately $3800 for tuition per academic year per grantee and aim to fund up to 4 years of college if good academic standing is maintained and funds are available from the Foundation. Applicants must have a 50 dB hearing loss in each ear or have a cochlear implant, must be a citizen of the United States or have a green card, and must be planning to attend a college or university in the United States as an undergraduate in the fall of the year of application.

The Keith Sargent Scholarship is open to any student with a mobility, visual, or hearing disability who has completed 24 transfer credits or one academic year at Iowa State University and who has a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.75 on a 4.0 scale. The scholarship amount varies and may be renewed for an additional two years as long as a GPA of 2.75 or above is maintained. Hearing loss must have been diagnosed before the applicant's fourth birthday (pre-lingual hearing loss), and hearing loss must be bilateral and in the moderately severe to profound range.

Summary
Up to three awards of up to $5,000 may be awarded each year to full-time graduate students with a pre-lingual bilateral hearing loss in the moderately-severe to profound range and who use listening and spoken language as their primary method of communication. Applicants must be attending full-time to an accredited mainstream law school or graduate school working towards a masters or doctoral degree in public policy or public administration.

Previous recipients may re-apply, provided that they are still in school and a minimum of nine credit hours was completed in the previous year of study.

Awards three scholarships. The Graeme Clark Scholarship is an award open to Cochlear Nucleus Implant recipients. The Anders Tjellström Academic Scholarship and the Americas Vocational Scholarship are open to Cochlear Nucleus, Baha, and Osia recipients.
