-Myasthenia gravis (MG)

The InfuCare Rx Primary Immunodeficiency Disease Scholarship
A person who has been diagnosed with one of the following conditions may apply:
-Common variable immune deficiency (CVID)
-Selective IgA deficiency
-Familial Agammaglobulinemia

The InfuCare Rx Hemophilia and Bleeding Disorders Scholarship
A person who has been diagnosed with one of the following conditions may apply:
-Hemophilia A/B (and symptomatic carriers)
-Von Willebrand Disease (vWD)
-Rare factor deficiencies

Summary:
Member families of Hemophilia of Iowa (HOI) with a high school senior enrolled in a degree-seeking program at an accredited U.S. college, university, or trade school may seek one of several scholarships for students with bleeding disorders or immediate family members of persons with a bleeding disorder.

Applicants must have an active treatment plan for either hemophilia or a related bleeding/clotting disorder and submit an essay about the applicant’s career plans, relationship with the bleeding disorder community, and contributions within the community. HOI also offers three scholarships named after David N. Brustkern, John Heisner, and Dude Cramer which have the same requirements as the general scholarship, but also require a letter of recommendation from an HOI Board Member or a Hemophilia Treatment Center (HTC) staff member, and an essay from the applicant about their involvement in the chapter.

$1000 is awarded to individuals with a bleeding disorder and $500 for an immediate family member of a person with a bleeding disorder.

Their goal is to help people with hemophilia B by providing high-quality, specialized therapies, connecting with people to learn about their needs, and developing empowering programs that enrich peoples’ lives. This scholarship enables people with hemophilia B to get financial help to further their education.

Applicants must be diagnosed with hemophilia B and be a US citizen or legal US resident and be entering or attending secondary education in the United States. Students who are pursuing or resuming a degree later in adulthood may apply even if there was a gap in their academic career.
